Villa Pontarró is a whole house in the town of Pollensa, Mallorca, with a private pool and garden. Not an apartment, not one floor of a larger building: you rent the whole villa — five bedrooms, four bathrooms and the pool — and nobody else shares it while you are there.
The pool and the garden
The pool is private and sits inside the property's enclosed garden, with no access from outside. Around it there is shade, sun loungers and a barbecue. In July and August it is where the day ends; in May or October it is where the day starts.
Two things we would rather say before you book: the pool is not fenced and it is not heated. It is inside the private garden, but if you are travelling with very small children you should know. And in April or October the water is cold — swimmable, but not a winter pool.
The house
Five bedrooms and four bathrooms, two of them en suite. It sleeps ten: two double rooms and three with single beds. Full kitchen, living room, washing machine and wifi. There is parking for four cars on the property, which in August, with the town full, is worth more than almost anything else.

In the town, not on a main road
It is in Pollensa town itself, in the north of Majorca: five minutes by car from the centre, the Sunday market and the restaurants, and ten from Port de Pollensa and its beaches. Formentor is a good half hour away. That is the difference between a villa with a pool and a villa with a pool and somewhere to walk to for dinner.

Is the pool for your exclusive use?
Yes. It sits in the house’s private garden, with no access from outside, and the house is rented whole: during your stay the pool is yours alone, with no opening hours and no neighbours.

Is the villa’s pool fenced or heated?
Neither, and we would rather say it plainly: it is not fenced — worth knowing if you travel with very small children — and it is unheated, so it is at its best from May to October.
