October in Pollensa: the house when the crowds have gone

Twenty-four degrees, a sea warm from the whole summer and half the island to yourselves

What is still free in October 2026

It comes from the house calendar, the same one Booking and VRBO work from. If it shows here, it really is free.

The house is open from March until the first Saturday in November. The rest of the year it is closed.

In October Pollensa still sits around 24°C and the sea is warm from the whole summer. What changes is that the queues are gone, you do not have to get up early for a spot on the beach, and there is always a table free. Half the island to yourselves, at the lowest rate of the year.

Why a house and not a hotel

  • Ten beds across five bedrooms. Two families, or one big one with grandparents: everyone gets a room and nobody sleeps on a sofa.
  • Four bathrooms. With ten people getting ready in the morning, this stops being a luxury.
  • A full kitchen. Eat in when the children have had enough, instead of hunting for somewhere open at nine in low season.
  • Parking for four cars on the property.
  • Private pool and garden. The pool is neither fenced nor heated: by October it is cold, and if you are travelling with very small children it is better to know before you book.
  • 285 m² over two floors. There are stairs between them, but there is a bedroom with a full bathroom on the ground floor: if someone in the group struggles with stairs, they have their room without climbing.

What October is good for

It is the best month for walking in the Serra de Tramuntana, for the Calvari steps without melting, and for Formentor, which in autumn has none of the summer access restrictions. The Sunday market runs exactly the same all year.

And Pollensa is a real town, not a seasonal resort: restaurants and shops stay open. What closes are the beach bars and some of what runs in the Port.

How late we stay open

The house is open from March until the first Saturday in November, and the last night is the Friday before. If your dates fall in the second week of November we cannot take you — better said now.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you swim in October?

In the sea, yes: it is warm from the whole summer and usually better than in June. The pool is unheated and by then it is cold — children do not mind, adults tend to.

  • Is everything open in October?

Pollensa is a real town, not a seasonal resort: restaurants, shops and the Sunday market carry on all year. What closes in autumn are the beach bars and some of what is open in the Port.

  • How late into November can we book?

Until the first Saturday in November, when we close the house until March. The last night is the Friday before.
